Wyz Woman Quote...

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born. - Anaïs Nin

the most amazing day...

I've had the most amazing day...

OMG!
OMG!
Oh My F'ing God!

I do not have words to describe how I feel about you all today - I vacillate back n forth between "I'm gonna kill em - I love em all to death"...I'm even shocked so damn speechless I didn't full on cry till I got in the car and started to drive home...and then I had to pull over cos I couldn't see the road!

I swear when I pulled into that parking lot expecting to see Bee n Bryan and possibly Gator and Suzie and was faced with (did anybody count?) what looked like 50 bikes...my heart started to pound and so did my head....

I can't believe you all...you got me this time - yup you did...

Bee n Bryan - yer soooo dead! Bryan - yer head looks lovely and thank you so much for the donation...I have no words - Bee tell Linda thanks again for me will ya...I am farklempt!

Laurie n Buzz and Gator n Suz...yer all on my list as well - dead I tell ya...dead yer all dead!
Jenn...I swear I'm gonna get you and I'm gonna staple yer lips shut!...

LIARS...I AM SURROUNDED BY F'ing LIARS! even Roadie and Zeek n Gizmo lied to me at "breakdown corner"!

and I love every damn one of you!

and then - the look on Bryan's face when he pulled up on the Pickle - and don't she sound purty? and she looks even prettier!! - I am absolutely flabergasted! I had come to expect safe from my conversations with Iceman - but pretty too? all that and a cushy seat? it's a big ole chunk o heaven.

Doug Coval - there simply are no words to say what I need to say to you my brother - simply no words...so....Doug Coval, Doug Ryhorchuk and Jeff Mutley - I can not begin to thank you for the work you men have done on my behalf - suffice it to say that every single time I get on the Pickle from now to eternity I will have a vision of my very own "3 SCRC musketeers"

And I know that you won't believe this but I will take all the wisdome that you will so generously impart upon me to heart (even if I whine when ya give it) - Yes Iceman I'll get the damn oil changed just like we talked about! - I've even had the kindly donation of a "pink" kneeling pad from the VOD so as to be able to get down on my knees to thank you all...

I know that I've missed mentioning so many of you - at this point I can only thank you all for being there - and thank you all for making this day probably the best in my life...

and thank you all for making the VOD feel so welcome - Kiebler thanks for starting the into's I was soo shocked I forgot she was there for a bit- and she was just tickled to meet you all!
I love you all...

....somehow "Thank you" doesn't seem big enough - but it's all I've got so Thank You All

the end result of which is the following:the list as I remember it...and keep in mind here that I know nothing about nuttin technical....

I have a new clutch, and a new motor (like brand new right outta the Christmas wrapping only got 0 KM's on it), new speakers, new speaker covers, new running lights on the hubs, new HD mirrors, new upholstery front and back - new electrics wiring and ignition and stuff - something about the old stuff being half 6V and half 12V....signal lights that work - and brand new black exhaust...the roll bars and all the rusty chrome stuff (like the box latches and the supports etc under the trunk and the signal light housings have all been painted in some handy dandy, one step below powder coating....black...shiny and brand new....

I'm sure that I've forgotten something - but our new PO is bound to remind me :o)
once they're all done - I think that the fiberglass body and the transmission is original...everything else has been "fixed up"

can you believe it? I can just barely.....

wanna see pix? how bout even more pix?

In Memorium

As a mark of respect, I dedicate this day to the memory of Samuel.

I met Samuel as a member of an MSN Group called Harley Tech Talk...those of us who have been there for a few years know who this man was, one of the original HTT members and a manager until his passing one year ago (07/27). I feel it is appropriate to mention the anniversary of his passing.

He was a very gifted man in more ways then one, a biker in the true sense of the word in that he loved riding to the extent that in his last few days he even strapped a portable Oxygen tank ( he called R2D2 ) to his bike in order to ride and meet friends.

He was also a gifted mechanic that had the ability to not only fix things but also explain in every day language how its done.

He was a proud veteran who served his country well with never a complaint. With kindness he helped literally 1000's on here whenever he could, he was also a gifted Philosopher and a true Visionary and last but not least a true FRIEND to one and all.

He may be gone but NEVER forgotten by his family nor his good friends. For all of you who did not have the pleasure of knowing this man you should strive to be a small % of who he was and how he lived his life, the world would be a much better place in which to live.

He had a true RESPECT for one and all .

RIP ( Ride in Peace ) Sam.

A Measure of Samuel: From: Samuel Sent: 1/24/2003 3:59 PM A very wise man once told me that there was only one true route to immortality. And that route was through the sharing of knowledge. He said that you could save all the money in the world, be the very best, but no one would remember anything but the money.

I am fully aware that when I leave this earth that I will be missed about as long as a hole remains in a bucket of water when you pull your hand out, for that is the way of things. But I would hope that what little knowledge that I might pass on during my trip would live for just a little while and benefit a few along the way. To just live is a one way street, but to live and help another along the way creates an endless orbit around this sun called life.

From: Samuel Sent: 1/24/2003 4:05 PM I forgot to add my humble thank you for the privilege of meeting all of you along this invisible river called cyberspace. And to the few that I have been able to assist, you are completely welcome. I only wish I knew more to pass on. Samuel

Alcoholiscopes

ARIES (Mar 21- Apr 19)
Drinking style: Impulsive Aries people like to party and sometimes don't know when to call it a night. Their competitive streak makes them prone to closing-time shot contests. They're sloppy, fun drunks, and they get mighty flirty after a couple tipples. Getting Aries people drunk is a good way to get what you want out of them, should other methods fail. Aries can become bellicose when blotto, but they will assume that whatever happened should be forgiven (if not forgotten) by sunrise. They can be counted on to do the same for you -- so long as you haven't gone and done anything really horrible to them last night, you sneaky Gemini.

TAURUS (Apr 20 - May 20)
Drinking style: Taurus prefers to drink at a leisurely pace, aiming for a mellow glow rather than a full-on zonk. Since a truly intoxicated Taurus is a one-person stampede, the kind of bull-in-a-china-shop inebriate who spills red wine on white carpets and tells fart jokes to employers, the preference for wining and dining (or Bud and buddies) to body shots and barfing is quite fortunate for the rest of us. This is not to say that the Bull is by any means a teetotaler -- god, no. A squiffy Taurus will get, er, gregarious (full of loudmouth soup, some would say) and is extremely amusing to drag to a karaoke bar when intoxicated.

GEMINI (May 21 - Jun 21)
Drinking style: Gemini's can drink without changing their behavior much-- they're so naturally chatty and short-attention-spanned that it's just hard to tell sometimes. They can amaze you by conversing with finesse and allusion, then doing something unbelievable in an extremely advanced state of intoxication, like puking in your shoe. Gemini's possess the magic ability to flirt successfully (and uninfuriatingly, which is very tricky) with several people at once. They like to order different cocktails every round -- repetition is boring -- and may create a theme (like yellow drinks: beer, sauvignon blanc and limoncello) for their own amusement.

CANCER (Jun 22 - Jul 22)
Drinking style: Cancer is a comfort drinker -- and an extra wine with dinner or an after-work beer or six can be extra comforting, can't it, Cancer darling? Like fellow water signs Scorpio and Pisces, Crabs must guard against lushery. Cancers are brilliant at ferreting out secret parties and insinuating themselves on VIP lists -- and, in true Hollywood style, Cancers are never really drunk; instead, they get "tired and emotional" (read: weepy when lubricated). But there's nothing better than swapping stories (and spit) over a few bottles of inky red wine with your favorite Cancer. Even your second-favorite Cancer will do. The sign also rules the flavor vanilla, and you'd be adored if you served up a vanilla vodka and soda.

LEO (Jul 23 - Aug 22)
Drinking style: Leo likes to d rink and dance -- they're often fabulous dancers, and usually pretty good drinkers as well, losing their commanding dignity and turning kittenish. Of course, they're quite aware they're darling - Leos will be Leos, after all. They generally know their limit, probably because they loathe losing self-control. When they get over-refreshed, expect flirting to ensue -- and perhaps not with the one who brought them. But Leo's not the type to break rules even when drunk, so just try to ignore it (try harder, Cancer) and expect a sheepish (and hung over) Lion to make it up to you the next day.

VIRGO (Aug 23 - Sept 22)
Drinking style: Cerebral Virgos are compelled to impose order onto their bender. Their famously fussy quest for purity could lead to drinking less than other signs, sure -- but it could also lead to drinking booze neat, to sucking down organic wine or just to brand loyalty. They rarely get fully shellacked -- but, oh, when they do! Virgo's controlled by the intellect, but there's an unbridled beast lurking within, and they let it loose when walloped. It's dead sexy (and surprisingly unsloppy). As one Virgo friend used to declare, "I'm going to drink myself into a low level of intelligence to night." A toast to the subgenius IQ!

LIBRA (Sept 23 - Oct 23)
Drinking style: "I'm just a social drinker," slurs Libra, "it's just that I'm so damn social." Libra loves nothing more than to party, mingle and relat e to everyone. Whether dipped in favor of Good Libra (with Insta-Friend device set to "on") or heavier on the Evil Libra side (they are little instigators when bored), the Scales can really work a room. Charming as they are, Libras are notoriously lacking in self-control, however, which can get them into all sorts of trouble -- including wearing their wobbly boots waaaay too early in the evening, flirting with their best friend's gal or even blacking out the night's events entirely. Oops!

SCORPIO (Oct 24 - Nov 21)
Drinking style: Don't ever tell Scorpios they've had enough, for they'll smirk at you and quietly but intentionally keep tippling till they're hog-whimpering drunk, out of 100-proof spite. Scorpios like to drink, and screw you if you have a problem with that. Most of them see the sauce as something to savor in itself, and not as a personality-altering tool - though if depressed, self-loathing Scorps seek total obliteration. But gene rally, they're fascinating drinking pals, brilliant conversationalists and dizzying flirts. They also remember everything -- especially what you did when you were blitzed. Only drink with a Scorpio who likes you.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 - Dec 21)
Drinking style: In vino veritas -- and, for Sagittarius, in booze blurtiness: When buttered, they'll spill all your secrets and many of their own. Tactlessness aside, Sagittarius is just plain fun to drink with. This is a sign of serious partying (what else would you expect from the sign of Sinatra, Keith Richards, the Bush twins and Anna Nicole Smith?). They're the people who chat up everyone in the room, then persuade the entire crowd to travel somewhere else -- like a nightclub, or a playground, or Cancun. Good-natured hi-jinks are sure to ensue (including a high possibility of loopy groping; spontaneous Sag is a brilliant booty call).

CAPRICORN (Dec 22 - Jan 19)
Drinking style: Capricorn is usually described as practical, steadfast, money-hungry and status-thirsty -- no wonder they get left off the astrological cocktail-party list. But this is the sign of David Bowie and Annie Lennox, not to mention Elvis. Capricorn is the true rock star: independent, powerful and seriously charismatic, not too eager to please. And if they make money being themselves, who are you to quibble? But just like most rock stars, they're either totally on or totally off, and they generally need a little social lubricant to loosen up and enjoy the after party, especially if they can hook up with a cute groupie.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
Drinking style: Aquarius and drinking don't go together that well (except for water, that is). They have an innate tendency toward know-it-allism, and if they get an idea while sizzled, they're more stubborn than a stain or a stone. If they're throwing a party or organizing an outing, however, they're too preoccupied with their duties to get combative and they make perfectly charming drunks in that case. Fortunately, they're usually capital drink-nursers. They also make the best designated drivers (if you can get them before they start raising their wrist) Aquarius is fascinated by drunk people and capable of holding interesting conversations with soused strangers while sober.

PISCES (Feb 19 - Mar 20)
Drinking style: If you're a Pisces, you've probably already heard that you share a sign and an addictive personality -- with Liz Taylor, Liza Minelli and Kurt Cobain. Not only do Pisces like to lose themselves in the dreamy, out-there feeling that only hooch can give, but they build up a mighty tolerance fast. Who needs an expensive date like that? On the other hand, they're fabulously enchanting partners, whether in conversation or in crime. With the right Pisces, you can start out sharing a pitcher of margaritas and wind up in bed together for days. The phrase "addictive personality" can be read two ways you know

it just never ends

now the company that shall remain nameless
as admitted to a .50 an hour error
and is rolling back .50 of the 2.00 raise
for everyone hired before Oct 05

can they do that?

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Due to a computer blow up
I've been offline since last Thursday
I've been depressed

what a freakin week
no car
no trike
and no computer

well
that's my 3 eh?
my friend has loaned me his mail server

to use until I get something else set up
so I'm on line

but I've still lost everything
no links
no tunes
and no data files

I've successfully lost
everything I have written
in the last
four years
I am depressed
at my stupidity

it's not like
I wasn't aware of what could happen
~sheeesh~ I don't even have a copy
of my resume!
.......

anyway I had a discussion
with the powers that be
to try once again
to make them see
that I am dancing
as fast as I can

but no job is worth my tears
no job is worth losing sleep over
no job is worth losing my health again
so if the have to get rid of me
it'll be their loss!

Futility

I come home from work
every night
and collapse on my couch
in tears

I sleep and dream
discordant
lunatic dreams
of the job
and I wake weeping

I get up in the morning
to no joy
I force myself to
dress and get out the door

I weep in the car on my
way to work
I fight with myself
to enter the building

and I weep 5 or 6 times
over the course of the day

We are hemorrhaging managers
they are dropping like flies
and still the big wig's don't get it

today I spent a total
of 5.5 hrs
"meeting" with my interim
touchy feelsgood Supervisor

almost 3 hours of that time
was also attended by 4 of my peers
we all said the same thing
there are not enough hours in the day

and still the party line is
"buck up little princess...
you don't know what hard work is"

the new Supervisor
likes the sound of his own voice
he listens with his lips

at the end of the day
I have spent 5.5 useless hours
explaining to the blameless Sup
that my time is wasted
because I don't have the time
to do the job

he says that he hears
but he still says it's my fault

if he could just get his head
outta his ass long enough to hear himself
he'd be embarrassed
if he was smart enough
to be embarrassed

I come home from work
every night
and collapse on my couch
in tears

I sleep and dream
discordant
lunatic dreams
of the job
and I wake weeping

I get up in the morning
to no joy
I force myself to
dress and get out the door

I weep in the car on my
way to work
I fight with myself
to enter the building

and I weep 5 or 6 times
over the course of the day...

Yah can choose year friends....

there's family
and then
there's friends
and ya can choose yer friends
but ya can't choose yer family

for me - my friends have become my family

case in point
one of my friends called me tonight

I left my trike with him on Sunday
cos I've got motor troubles
and he's going to get them fixed for me

not cos he has to
but cos he wants me to be safe
and I can't afford to get it done myself

tonight he calls to say that he's decided to
have the seats redone
the roll bar powdercoated
and all the lights fixed

in my minds eye
I keep hearing
Wayne and Garth
from the movie Wayne's World
"we are not worthy"

I truly feel that I am not worthy
and it both puzzles me
and warms my heart
that I have friends that are willing to do
something this intense for me

they say that karma will out in the end
I musta been a really nice person in a last life eh?
:o)

Another Walk

down memory lane.....

~I Need You~

We used to laugh
We used to cry
We used to bow our heads
then Wonder why

But now you're gone
I guess I'll carry on
And make the best of what you've left to me
Left to me, left to me

I need you
Like the flower needs the rain
You know I need you
Guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you
Like the winter needs the spring
You know I need you
I need you

And every day
I'd laugh the hours away
Just knowing you were thinking of me
Then it came
That I was put to blame
For every story told about me
About me, about me

I need you
Like the flower needs the rain
You know I need you
Guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you
Like the winter needs the spring
You know I need you
I need you
